Introduction to the Scholarship

The Center supports promising young artists and students in all fields of art history, aesthetics and Judaic studies. The Center also fosters a climate that values and seeks understanding of the arts and the history of the Jewish people.

Scholarship funds are granted to art students in a particular area such as fine arts (painting, sculpture, new media, printmaking etc), photography, illustration, graphic design and other fields of interest.

Application Guidelines

Although not essential the Center encourages applications from artists and students who are in real financial need.

Grant Restrictions

The Center accepts applications from artists whose work falls primarily within the following fields: plastic arts (see above), photography, video art, film, crafts.

How to Apply and Selection Process

A special Committee of Selection with members that are recognized specialists in the fields of the Center's concern will examine each and every application. Applicants are asked to submit a cover letter, a CV with an exhibition record , a formal application and portfolio of current work with eight high quality digital images with a corresponding identification list. All applications will be acknowledged and considered. If further information is required after the completed application has been received, the applicant will be contacted by our staff. The application process could take from three months to a year.

It  is  recommended  that  while  representative  examples of  your  work  over a  period  of  years  may  be  included,  it  is  important  to  emphasize  your  most  recent  works.
