The M.T. Abraham Center for the Visual Arts, acting as a lending resource of Russian art, European Avant-Garde, Impressionist and Modern art, was established to fulfill the following mandates: to promote pioneering scholarship and research to gain clearer insight into issues of art history; to organize international traveling exhibitions of the Center’s collections to museums and other accredited institutions.
The M.T. Abraham Center for the Visual Arts aims to create a unique repository of Russian art, European Avant-Garde, Impressionist and Modern art with the sole purpose of display and study by public institutions which today face numerous challenges - increasing operating costs, shrinking government support, and powerful speculative buyers in the art market not committed to sharing their acquisitions in public exhibitions.
